For professionals

Professional listing
and editorial policy.

divorce.info publishes practical Australian information and may include paid listings of professionals whose services are relevant to separation, divorce and related financial, parenting and wellbeing issues.

A listing is provided for information only. It is not a recommendation, endorsement, accreditation or guarantee of suitability.

1. Purpose of the professional directory

The directory is intended to help users identify categories of professionals who may assist with issues arising from separation and divorce.

  • The directory is informational.
  • It is not a referral service.
  • Listings are paid placements subject to editorial approval.
  • divorce.info does not assess individual suitability for a user’s circumstances.
  • Users should make their own enquiries before engaging any professional.

2. Listing is not endorsement

Inclusion does not mean divorce.info:

  • recommends the professional;
  • guarantees their services;
  • verifies every representation they make;
  • accepts responsibility for their advice or conduct;
  • ranks them above professionals who are not listed.

Users should independently assess qualifications, registration, experience, fees, conflicts and suitability before engaging a professional.

The payment of a listing fee does not mean that divorce.info has independently verified every statement made by the listed professional or assessed suitability for a particular user.

3. Eligibility for consideration

A person or organisation may be considered where their work is relevant to one or more directory categories, including:

  • family law;
  • mediation or Family Dispute Resolution;
  • financial advice;
  • accounting;
  • counselling or psychology;
  • parenting support;
  • conveyancing;
  • valuation;
  • mortgage broking;
  • research or education;
  • other related professional services.

Potential applicants may be asked to provide:

  • name and organisation;
  • professional role;
  • location;
  • qualifications;
  • registrations;
  • memberships;
  • areas of practice;
  • website or professional profile;
  • professional biography;
  • disclosure of commercial interests;
  • any other information reasonably required for assessment.

4. Qualifications and professional standing

Where relevant, applicants may be expected to hold and maintain:

  • required registration;
  • practising certificates;
  • licences;
  • professional memberships;
  • insurance;
  • continuing professional development;
  • disciplinary good standing.

divorce.info may request evidence of professional standing, but inclusion does not amount to independent certification or verification.

5. Editorial relevance

Listings should be relevant to the needs of divorce.info users. Considerations may include:

  • relevance of services;
  • clarity of professional role;
  • geographic coverage;
  • quality and accuracy of supplied information;
  • professional presentation;
  • capacity to provide lawful and appropriate services;
  • alignment with the site’s practical and non-sensational editorial approach.

6. Independence and conflicts

Applicants must disclose relevant interests, including:

  • ownership links;
  • referral arrangements;
  • commissions;
  • paid relationships;
  • cross-referral arrangements;
  • commercial partnerships;
  • family or business relationships with the operator;
  • any other matter that could reasonably affect perceived independence.

Disclosed relationships may be published where necessary for transparency.

7. Founding listings and associated organisations

Some initial listings may be organisations associated with the operator of divorce.info.

Where a listed organisation is associated with the operator of divorce.info, that relationship will be disclosed clearly on the relevant listing page.

Associated listings are not ranked above other professionals and do not receive an implied recommendation by reason of that association.

8. Paid listings and no paid ranking

  • Professional listings on divorce.info are paid listings.
  • Payment is a condition of publication or continued inclusion, subject to editorial approval.
  • Paying a fee does not guarantee acceptance.
  • Paying a higher fee does not improve ranking.
  • There are no paid “best”, “top”, “featured” or “recommended” positions.
  • Listings are not ordered according to advertising spend.
  • Payment does not override eligibility, accuracy, disclosure or professional-standing requirements.
  • All paid relationships must be disclosed transparently where appropriate.

Professional listings are paid placements, but payment does not determine ranking, endorsement or editorial treatment.

Payment of a listing fee does not create a right to publication, continued inclusion or preferential placement.

9. No guarantee of inclusion

Submitting an expression of interest:

  • does not guarantee acceptance;
  • does not create a contractual right to a listing;
  • does not guarantee publication of contributed content;
  • may be declined before any payment is requested;
  • may be approved subject to payment of the applicable listing fee;
  • may be removed or not renewed if eligibility, disclosure, accuracy or payment requirements are not maintained;
  • may not receive a detailed explanation where declined.

divorce.info retains editorial discretion over whether, when and how a professional or organisation is listed, including whether an application is accepted before any listing fee becomes payable.

10. Expressions of interest and fees

  • Professionals first submit an expression of interest.
  • divorce.info assesses relevance, eligibility, disclosures and professional standing.
  • Approved applicants may then be offered a paid listing.
  • Fees, duration, renewal terms and included features will be communicated before publication.
  • No payment should be made unless divorce.info has approved the application and issued the applicable listing terms.
  • Submitting an expression of interest does not create an obligation to purchase a listing.
  • Payment does not guarantee ranking, endorsement or editorial contribution opportunities.

Approved applicants may be invited to purchase a professional listing on the terms then offered by divorce.info.

11. Listing content

Listings may include:

  • organisation or professional name;
  • logo;
  • location;
  • professional category;
  • short description;
  • areas of service;
  • website link;
  • disclosure statement;
  • listing status.

divorce.info may edit supplied wording for:

  • accuracy;
  • length;
  • clarity;
  • consistency;
  • tone;
  • legal risk;
  • editorial style.

12. Logos and trademarks

  • Logos must be supplied or approved by the rights holder.
  • divorce.info will not generate, redraw or materially alter professional logos.
  • The applicant must have authority to permit use.
  • Logos remain the property of their owners.
  • divorce.info may remove a logo if rights are disputed.

13. Accuracy obligations

Listed professionals must notify divorce.info of material changes, including:

  • contact details;
  • website;
  • location;
  • professional registration;
  • practising status;
  • disciplinary restrictions;
  • business closure;
  • ownership;
  • services;
  • conflicts or commercial interests.

divorce.info may update, suspend, remove or decline to renew a listing where information appears outdated, incomplete or misleading.

14. Editorial contributions

Professionals may also express interest in contributing articles or reviewing content.

  • All content remains subject to editorial review.
  • Contributors must disclose conflicts.
  • Authorship does not guarantee publication.
  • Contributed content may be edited.
  • Promotional or self-serving material may be rejected.
  • Legal, financial, health or wellbeing content must remain appropriately qualified and evidence-based.
  • Publication does not create an employment, partnership or agency relationship.
  • Editorial contribution opportunities are separate from paid listing arrangements.

15. Independence of published content

Listed professionals do not have a right to direct, approve or suppress divorce.info editorial content merely because they are listed.

divorce.info may publish general information that differs from the position or preferred approach of a listed professional. Payment for a listing does not confer editorial control.

16. Complaints and concerns

Concerns may be raised about:

  • inaccurate listing information;
  • misleading claims;
  • undisclosed conflicts;
  • inappropriate conduct;
  • misuse of qualifications;
  • outdated registrations;
  • trademark concerns;
  • safety or integrity issues.

Please contact the divorce.info editorial team.

17. Correction, suspension, removal and non-renewal

divorce.info may:

  • correct a listing;
  • request supporting information;
  • suspend a listing;
  • remove a listing;
  • remove a logo or link;
  • decline renewal;
  • decline future inclusion.

Possible reasons may include:

  • inaccurate information;
  • loss of registration;
  • disciplinary action;
  • misleading claims;
  • non-disclosure;
  • legal risk;
  • reputational risk;
  • irrelevance;
  • inactivity;
  • business closure;
  • breach of site policy;
  • non-payment;
  • conduct inconsistent with the site’s purpose.

Removal or non-renewal does not necessarily imply misconduct and may occur for administrative or editorial reasons.

18. Reviews and testimonials

divorce.info does not currently publish:

  • star ratings;
  • user reviews;
  • unverified testimonials;
  • comparative rankings.

This avoids creating a misleading impression of verified quality or universal suitability.

19. User responsibility

Users remain responsible for:

  • checking registration;
  • verifying identity;
  • reviewing engagement terms;
  • understanding fees;
  • checking conflicts;
  • obtaining independent advice;
  • assessing suitability;
  • considering more than one provider where appropriate.

20. Privacy

Expressions of interest are handled through the existing contributor form. You can submit an expression of interest online.

  • Information is used to assess and respond to the submission.
  • Not all supplied information will necessarily be published.
  • Sensitive or unnecessary information should not be submitted.
  • Published listing information may be visible publicly.

21. Policy changes

The policy may be updated as the directory develops.

The version published on this page applies at the time a listing is assessed or reviewed.

22. Practical summary

  • Listings are paid but remain subject to editorial approval.
  • Payment does not determine ranking or endorsement.
  • Inclusion is discretionary.
  • Relevant interests are disclosed.
  • Applicants must provide accurate information.
  • Professional standing may be checked.
  • Listings may be corrected, suspended, removed or not renewed.
  • Users must assess suitability independently.

This policy explains the editorial and administrative approach used by divorce.info. It does not create contractual rights for applicants, listed professionals or users.
